AVer ScreenShare [?]

The AVer ScreenShare feature allows users to wirelessly share content from their computer directly to a video meeting.  Using the existing wireless network, users can share spreadsheet data, PowerPoint or video presentations to your meeting attendees without having to connect a cable between your computer and your AVer Video Conference system.

FAQ

Which firmware version do I have?

To check which firmware version you have, go to the "Settings" menu from the home screen, then
select "System Info" on the left. The "System Version" field will look something like this:
AVer_D1.01.0X.XX.XXXX
Where X.XX.XXXX represents the current firmware version.

Do I really need to update my firmware if there's a newer version available?

Keeping your AVer video conferencing system up to date is essential to getting the most out of its capabilities.
Each firmware release will fix previously found issues and bugs, and may offer new features and
increase functionality.

What's new in this firmware?

Feature Description
Language Support Supported languages: English / Traditional & Simplified Chinese / Swedish / Spanish / Portuguese-Brazil / Polish / Italian / German / French / Finnish / Dutch / Danish / Czech / Thai
Screen Saver Mode Allows users to customize how the long it takes for the screensaver to turn on (or disable it)
Auto Power-Off Mode Allows users to set the timing or disable the auto power-off
Camera Setting • AWB (auto white balance) – adjusts color temperature based on your light source.
• Exposure – Increase/Decrease the exposure to enhance image quality
Auto Focus Pressing the "Enter" button on the remote control in Cam control mode will automatically focus the camera, and an "Auto Focus " message will be displayed on the screen
Web Tool (System Update) When uploading the system update file, progress will be displayed in percentage (%) instead of file size (MB).

Firmware Update Instructions

Updates via USB flash drive (recommended)

Please note: A USB flash drive with at least 50MB of free space is required.

  1. Download firmware file from our support site.
  2. Unzip and place the firmware file in the root directory of your USB Flash drive.
  3. Power on your AVer system, wait for the home menu to appear.
  4. Insert the USB flash drive w/ the firmware file into the USB port of your AVer system.
  5. The system will automatically detect and install the firmware.
  6. Once the firmware update has completed, the video conferencing system will restart.

Updates via WebTool

Please note: The AVer video conferencing system will need to be connected to your network with a valid IP address.
A computer with internet access is also required, and port 80 must be open.

  1. Download the firmware file from our support site to your computer.
  2. Unzip and place the firmware file in a location you have access to and can easily remember.
  3. Open a web browser and input your system IP address into the URL field.
  4. Input your WebTool Admin password (if assigned)
  5. The WebTool page will appear, choose the "System Update" option.
  6. Browse for the firmware file (refer to step 2).
  7. Select the file and press "ok." The system will begin the firmware update.
  8. Once the firmware update has completed, the video conferencing system will restart.
