The Teacher Forum Drawing and Refer a Friend Contest were both designed to encourage teachers to discuss and discover lesson plans, ideas and technologies for their classrooms within a forum on the AVerMedia website. Both winners will receive an AVerVision CP300 Interactive Document camera.

Shannon Brown, a teacher at Stuart Elementary in Stuart, VA has won the Teacher Forum Drawing for the month of September. This drawing contest has attracted hundreds of new users that have contributed their expertise and ideas for the benefit of other educators and a chance to win a new AVerVision Document Camera. Shannon was selected by random drawing for posting to the AVerMedia forum between August 29 and September 29, 2008. New posts will be eligible for the next drawing beginning September 30 through October 30 with the winner to be announced on October 31, 2008.

In addition to the monthly Teacher Forum Drawing, AVerMedia started the Friend Referral Contest in which forum participants can refer other teachers to the forum. At the end of every month, the forum user with the most referrals wins a new AVerVision document camera. The first winner of the Friend Referral Contest is Leslie Clark, a technology coordinator from Amarillo, TX. Leslie successfully referred eleven new members to the AVerMedia Teacher Forum from August 15 through September 29, 2008. The Friend Referral contest will continue monthly with the new winners announced the last day of every month. New referrals will be accepted September 30 – October 30, 2008.
