These market share findings are documented in the 2009 market research report conducted and released by Futuresource in June of 2010.

According to Futuresource, less than 15% of classrooms in the US currently have a document camera, however predictions indicate by 2011 that number will jump significantly. "Next year, more document cameras will be sold in the USA than Interactive Whiteboards," says Colin Messenger, Senior Consultant at Futuresource. "And although one out of every eight classrooms in the US already has a document camera, we're going to see that figure skyrocket to one in three by 2011. This technology is really beginning to take a foothold in the education technology marketplace."
